TaoTronics Headphones (TT-BH22): Pair Your Device Via Bluetooth

How can you pair the TaoTronics TT-BH22 Headphones with a mobile device via Bluetooth? What do the LED colors mean? How to use the buttons?

Step 1

Ensure that the TaoTronics TT-BH22 headphones*  is turned on and the battery fully charged. Do not separate the two devices for more than 3 feet while pairing.

Step 2

Press and hold the multi function button (middle) on the headset control unit for approx 5 seconds. The LEDs will flash red and blue. The headphones are now ready for pairing and can be connected with other Bluetooth enabled devices.

Step 3

Turn on the Bluetooth mode on your mobile device. It will automatically search for other Bluetooth enabled devices nearby. Choose the “TaoTronics TT-BH22” device from the list. Once the pairing has been successful, the headphone’s LED will flash blue. – In case your mobile device requests a password, please try the combination “0000” or “8888“.

Step 4 (optional)

If the headphones and the mobile device were paired previously, both devices will pair again automatically. In order to perform a “factory reset“, simply press the multi function button for a couple of seconds while the headphone is turned OFF until the purple LED rapidly flashes two times. You will also hear two beeps. The headphone is now reset and can be paired with a new device. Do not forget to remove the TaoTronics TT-BH22 headphones*  from your Bluetooth device list on your mobile device.

Additional Information

 

The following functions can be controlled via the different buttons.

Function Button How To / Control
Power On Switch the Power button to ON
Power Off Switch the Power button to OFF
Play / Pause Press the multi function button once
Volume Up / Down Press the volume up (+) / down (-) button
Title Next / Previous Press and hold the volume up (+) / down (-) button for approx 2 seconds
Pick Up Call Press the multi function button once
End Call Press the multi function button once
Reject Call Press the multi function button twice
Activate Voice Control Press the multi function button twice

 

The blue and red LEDs on the headphone control unit have different meanings.

LED Status Headphone Status
LED off The headphone is turned off.
LED solid blue
The battery is fully charged. Total battery runtime is approx 25 hours.
LED flashes red
The battery is almost empty and must be charged.
LED solid red
The battery is getting charged. A full battery charging cycle is about 3 hours. The headphone cannot be used while charging.
LED flashes red and blue
The headphone is set to the Bluetooth pairing mode.
LED flashes blue
The headphone is properly connected to a device.
